چکیده

Zhang, Weixing, "Theory and analysis of consecutive-k-out-of-n:G systems reliability " (1988). Retrospective Theses and Dissertations. Paper 9749. The most advanced technology has been used to photo graph and reproduce this manuscript from the microfilm master. UMI films the original text directly from the copy submitted. Thus, some dissertation copies are in typewriter face, while others may be from a computer printer. In the unlikely event that the author did not send UMI a complete manuscript and there are missing pages, these will be noted. Also, if unauthorized copyrighted material had to be removed, a note will indicate the deletion. Oversize materials (e.g., maps, drawings, charts) are re produced by sectioning the original, beginning at the upper left-hand comer and continuing from left to right in equal sections with small overlaps. Each oversize page is available as one exposure on a standard 35 mm slide or as a 17" x 23" black and white photographic print for an additional charge. Photographs included in the original manuscript have been reproduced xerographically in this copy. 35 mm slides or 6" X 9" black and white photographic prints are available for any photographs or illustrations appearing in this copy for an additional charge. Posbist Reliability Theory of k-out-of-n: G System

A preliminary analysis of the posbist reliability of typical system structures was provided by Cai et al. [Fuzzy Sets and Systems 42: 145–172 (1991) and Microelectronics and Reliability 35(1): 49–56 (1995)]. In this paper, we provide a detailed analysis of the posbist reliability of k-out-of-n:G system structures. Expressions of the posbist reliability of k-out-of-n:G system is developed. It is...

Recursive Methods for Fuzzy Multi-State k-out-of-n:G System Reliability Assessment

Compared with a binary system model, a multi-state system model provides a more flexible tool for representing engineering systems in real life. In the classic multi-state system theory, it is assumed that exact probability and performance level of each component state are given. However it may be difficult to obtain sufficient data to estimate the precise values of these probabilities and perf...

Reliability Analysis of Tampered Failure Rate Load-Sharing k-out-of-n:G Systems

Load-sharing systems have several practical applications. In load-sharing systems, the event of a component failure will result in a higher load, therefore inducing a higher failure rate, in each of the surviving components. This introduces failure dependency among the load-sharing components, which in turn increases the complexity in analyzing these systems. In this paper, we provide a closed-...

Reliability Analysis of K-Out-Of N: G Machining Systems with Mixed Spares and Multiple Modes of Failure (TECHNICAL NOTE)

This paper deals with the transient analysis of K-out-of-N: G system consisting of Noperatingmachines. To improve system reliability, Y cold standby and S warm standbys spares areprovided to replace the failed machines. The machines are assumed to fail in multiple modes. At leastK-out-of-N machines for smooth functioning of the system. Reliability and mean time to failure areestablished in term...

Availability of 3-out-of-4:G Warm Standby System

Standby techniques are used to improve system availability. Usually, a k-out-of-n:G standby system is assumed that when an operating component fails, a standby component becomes active and the system is working if at least k components are fault-free. In general, there are three types in component standby, i.e., cold, hot and warm standby. Cold standby implies that inactive components have a ze...
